Photo Gallery | Five inmates escape from Elmore County Jail, four still on the run

ELMORE COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - The Elmore County Sheriff's Department is looking for four inmates who escaped and are still on the run.

A total of five men climbed through an air vent at the Elmore County Jail and escaped late Wednesday night, one inmate has since been captured. Authorities believe the men were able to smuggle a sharp object into their cell, dig out the grout around the vent and escape.

Police are still looking for E. Martinez, Jeremy Hadden, Jon Golden, and William Singleton. Judson Nichols was captured earlier today. All were being held on "minor charges." They now face up to 20 years in jail for the escape.

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering an unspecified reward for information leading to the re-arrest of the listed escapees. If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of these men please call 334-567-5227.
