     With the start of a new year you may be marking your 2013 calendar with dates you don’t want to forget.  Below is our current list of events and you can always find out what is going on by checking out our calendar at www.elmorehumane.org/events.htm .  Whether we are holding a stand-alone event for the shelter or participating as part of a bigger event we hope to see lots of our supporters and can always use volunteers to help. And don’t forget that the shelter is open for adoptions Mon-Thu 10-4; Fri 10-5 & Sat 9-3.  Also, our Tail’s End Thrift Store is open 9 – 3, Thu, Fri & Sat weekly. To volunteer or if you have questions give us a call at 334-567-3377 or email the shelter at hselco@bellsouth.net.  We will add new events, like our yet to be scheduled supply drives, and details as they are approved.

Sat, 26 Jan, 6-10 pm – Wishbone Studios, evening music event for our shelter featuring Wishbone & Free Flight; 2625 Zelda Road, Montgomery; advance tickets $10 / $15 at the door, BYOB/food. 

Sun, 27 Jan, 1-4 pm – Volunteer Training & Membership Drive, Trinity Episcopal Church, Hwy 231, Wetumpka

Sat, 2 Feb, 9 am–3 pm – Shelter Booth at Millbrook Revelers Mardi Gras Festival & Parade, Village Green, Millbrook

Sat, 9 Feb, 1 pm - Cimarrón Mardi Gras Parade, downtown Wetumpka, shelter participation TBA

Fri-Sun, 22-24 Feb, 11 am - 4 pm (Sun noon start) – Adopt-a-Thon at area PetSmarts

Sat, 23 Feb, 5 pm doors open – 4th Annual “Getting Down with the Dawgs” $10,000 Drawdown, Bonnie Crest Country Club, 1410 Federal Dr, Montgomery

Fri-Sun, 26-28 Apr, 11 am - 4 pm (Sun noon start) –Adopt-a-Thon at area PetSmarts
