Wetumpka High School will advance to the South's BEST Competition, the Boosting Engineering, Science & Technology competition in December.

Wetumpka Won the following and this is highlighted on the attachment:

3rd Place Robot


1st Place Notebook
1st Place Team Exhibit Design and Construction
2nd Place Marketing Presentation
2nd Place Spirit and Sportsmanship
3rd Place Team Exhibit & Interview
3rd Place Founders Award for Robot Design
3rd Place Most Photogenic Robot


This was a very difficult competition, the challenge was very different, having
a robot climb a 10 foot pole instead of rolling across the ground. The new game
helped to level the field between old teams and brand new ones since no one had
ever done this type of design before. Our team designed, tested, redesigned,
retested. They never gave up especially in the middle of competition - that was
how they won!

South's BEST Competition will be December 1-2 at Auburn's new arena.
